About Us

Our Story
Sustainable Consulting was established in 2001 to help progress the sustainability agenda in WA and beyond. We wanted to promote and help realise the benefits from pursuing environmental, social and economic objectives in parallel.
As we gained experience working with clients, it became clear that activating sustainability was more of a strategic process than a technical discipline. This led to facilitation becoming a central part of our practice, which in turn enabled us to successfully complete assignments across a broad range of sectors and subjects.
Today our practice offers five services that we’re passionate about:
-
Group facilitation
-
Strategy development
-
Strategic support
-
Desktop research
-
Report writing.
Our Team
Craig has a first-class Honours degree in Botany and Soil Science. He started his career in environmental technical roles before transitioning into middle management and then management consulting. Along the way he was particularly drawn to the positive impacts of triple-bottom-line sustainability, well-designed facilitation and co-designed strategies. That experience inspired Craig to found Sustainable Consulting in 2001. Two decades later, his number one professional passion is designing and facilitating workshops with a strategic natural-resource-management focus.
Tanya has a first class Honours degree in Environmental Science, Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health and a Masters in Applied Epidemiology. She started her career in the health sector, developing and then implementing policies and strategies across Western Australia. Along the way she developed expertise in facilitating collaboration among diverse professional groups and in identifying prerequisites for achieving organisational aims. In 2021 she decided to broaden her portfolio by joining Sustainable Consulting and applying skills gained in the health sector to her original area of study, environmental science.
